Study Abroad Coordinator, Geneva
Lucie Cardinaux serves as Study Abroad Advisor at Webster Geneva, where she also works as an Academic advisor and faculty member, teaching courses in French, Swiss culture, and Language Theory. She joined Webster in January 2022. Lucie holds a Master of Arts in French as a Foreign Language and a Master of Arts in Translation and Intercultural Communication, both from the University of Geneva. Her passion for international education began during her undergraduate studies, when she spent a semester abroad in Scotland. This transformative experience sparked a lasting interest in intercultural exchange, global learning, and travel, inspiring her to return to Scotland on numerous occasions. Having lived and worked in diverse countries, including several years in the Caribbean and in France, Lucie brings extensive international and intercultural experience to her work with students. These experiences have strengthened her understanding of cultural adaptation, cross-cultural communication, and the challenges and opportunities that come with living abroad. Before joining Webster, she taught French in a Swiss language program for refugees, where she supported language acquisition and social integration. Outside of work, Lucie is an avid reader with a particular interest in fantasy and science fiction, and a practicing visual artist specializing in painting and drawing.
