Kim McGrath is the Director of the Webster International Network of Schools (WINS) Program. She has worked at Webster since 2006, and in the field of international education for more than 20 years.

Her duties include:

  • Overseeing operations for the WINS program, which creates partnerships between Webster University and U.S. universities to provide access to Webster's international campuses
  • Supporting partner institutions in growing and improving study abroad experiences for U.S. college students  
  • Developing new and maintaining current partnerships with universities across the United States  
  • Building connections between WINS affiliates and Webster staff and and faculty
  • Working closely with the Office of Study Abroad team to ensure successful WINS student abroad participation
  • Planning and executing educational and promotional activities for WINS partners, students and faculty

Kim studied abroad in London, England at Thames Valley University, and spent nearly two years working abroad in Talara, Peru.  She has a background in journalism, marketing, non-profit development, community engagement and international higher education.  Prior to Webster, she has worked at Accion Social Comunitaria, St. Louis Charter School and the Chicago Sun-Times in various roles.  Growing up, her family worked in the airline industry and Kim had the opportunity to travel domestically and internationally at a young age.  Kim received her bachelor's in Journalism from Truman State University, her master's in International Relations from Webster University where she is currently working on her Education Doctorate in Transformative Learning.  After working in Chicago, she moved to Talara, Peru to teach English where she also joined a local dance troupe, "Taita Peru," and hosted a local radio show.  Her experiences living and working abroad, learning languages and new cultures, have shaped her worldview and her professional career.  Kim has enjoyed her tenure at Webster and loves her work in collaborating with universities across the nation to facilitate study abroad experiences from students of all backgrounds. She believes that international experiences are critical for 21st century education, and is committed to making that happen for as many students as possible.
