And whenever you're ready, you can go ahead and start an application

Types of Programs
Webster offers three types of study abroad programs to enhance your experiential learning: Webster's International Campus Programs, International Exchange/Partner Programs, and Faculty-Led Programs. See below for the unique advantages of each type and check out our list of all available programs here. You can also search for programs using a map, or click here to search for programs by specific parameters, such as available terms or academic offerings.

Webster’s International Campuses Imagine studying abroad while staying right on track to graduation! Webster's campuses around the world offer unique signature courses and cultural excursions, with the benefit of consistent and seamless course transfers. Webster's campuses in the countries of Austria, Georgia, Greece, The Netherlands, Switzerland, The United States, and Uzbekistan all share the same course catalog, with courses taught in English, so credit transfers between campuses are a breeze. Whether you're looking for a year-long adventure or a summer abroad, Webster's global network makes it easy to explore the world and build global connections. Consistent academic calendars across campuses allow you to choose the term, semester, or summer that works best for you, from the options available at your home campus. Even when you're back at home--wherever that is in the Webster network--you'll be in classes with faculty and students from around the globe, enhancing your cross-cultural learning.

International Exchange/Partner Programs Looking for a study abroad experience that fully immerses you in a new environment? Our partner programs around the world allow you to temporarily enroll in other universities, providing the opportunity to deeply engage with another culture and/or another language. Want to take classes at a university in Argentina, Belgium, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, or the United Kingdom? While you'll step outside your comfort zone into a new adventure, you won't navigate it alone. Webster's study abroad team is in constant contact with partners in all these locations to support you throughout this high impact, engaged experience. As International Exchange/Partner Programs are hosted by other universities, academic calendars will vary.

Faculty-Led Programs Want a a short-term commitment but a life-changing experience? Faculty-Led programs typically travel for 1-3 weeks, guided by a professor with a cohort of classmates. These are among the most affordable study abroad options, with little disruption to the employment, caregiving, or athletic responsibilities you might have at home. Interested in learning about game design in Japan? Or evolution in the Galapagos? Or art in Italy? Or coffee in Costa Rica? You can earn course credit while engaging in unique research and career-building opportunities. If you want a high-impact learning experience that won't take you away from home for long, or you want to explore with a small group focused on a particular issue or problem, start with one of these programs to test your travel legs over fall break, spring break, or summer!

Non-Affiliated Programs Don't see quite what you're looking for? Don't worry, we can still help! Students whose specific study abroad needs are not met by programs within Webster’s approved portfolio can also apply to a non-affiliated program. You'll need to talk to an advisor and put together a strong academic rationale, along with your program proposal. We'll walk you through the approval process and do our best to help you reach your goals.

International Distinction Award
Want to show the world--or at least a potential employer or graduate program--how your international scholarship sets you apart? As a Webster undergraduate you'll have the opportunity to pursue International Distinction, a designation annotated on your diploma and transcript! Studying abroad for a term or more gets you well on your way to earning this prestigious designation. Read more here
