Tyler is the Study Abroad Coordinator at Webster University. He has been in this role since October 2019.

He advises Webster students on the following programs:
Webster Athens
Webster Geneva
Webster Leiden
Webster Vienna
University of Roehampton (London, UK)
Oxford Brookes University (Oxford, UK)
Kent State Florence (Florence, Italy)
J.F. Oberlin University (Tokyo, Japan)
Kansai University (Osaka, Japan)

Study abroad had a major impact on Tyler’s undergraduate experience. During his first year he participated in a short-term faculty-led program in Nicaragua, which was his first time outside of the U.S. or Canada. He quickly fell in love with Central American culture and added Spanish as a major. The following year he returned to Nicaragua, taking the second level of the same course, and later studied abroad for a semester in Costa Rica. Tyler graduated from Graceland University with a BA in Spanish and Physical Education and Health. Since graduating he has worked as a guide for high school programs in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, and has taught English in Spain. Prior to Webster, he spent six years as an elementary school teacher in St. Louis. Tyler earned an MA in International Relations from Webster University. Tyler is a firm believer in the transformative power of experiential education, and is passionate about all things travel. He is excited to have the opportunity to work with students planning to study abroad on a daily basis.
