Kelly is the Director of the Office of Study Abroad at Webster University. She has been in this role since October of 2017. 

She advises students on the following programs:

  • Free University of Brussels (Brussels, Belgium)
  • Trier University (Trier Germany)
  • Autonomous University of Guadalajara (Guadalajara, Mexico)
  • University of Oviedo (Oviedo, Spain)
  • Non-Affiliated Programs 

Her other duties as Director include:
  • Managing daily operations in the Office of Study Abroad.
  • Considers international institutional affiliations: exchange programs; study abroad partners.
  • Coordinates faculty-led programs.
  • Oversees and streamlines study abroad services across all Webster campuses 
  • Monitors study abroad health and safety issues and coordinate emergency response

Kelly studied abroad herself in Rome, Italy; Cuernavaca, Mexico and Salamanca, Spain and worked abroad in Seville, Spain. She has worked in the field of study abroad for over 15 years. Prior to Webster she was the Associate Director of Study Abroad at Loyola University Chicago. She has served in various study abroad roles throughout her time in the field and has held volunteer leadership position with NAFSA and various other study abroad organizations. She has enjoyed seeing more and more Webster students take advantage of study abroad opportunities. Since her college days, traveling and international experiences have played an important role in Kelly’s personal development, education, and career. She studied abroad two times as an undergraduate- completing a May term program focused on women in Mexican politics in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and then a full academic year in Salamanca, Spain studying Spanish language and culture. Upon graduating, Kelly returned to Spain and taught English as a second language for two years in Seville. Kelly received her master’s degree in higher education with a concentration in student affairs administration from Loyola’s School of Education. In graduate school, she had the opportunity to study educational leadership in Rome, Italy at the John Felice Rome Center. Kelly continues to enjoy learning about new parts of the world and cultures on a daily basis. She finds that helping students follow their study abroad passions is one of the most fulfilling aspects of her job.
